The Marketplace at Village Gardens introduces a new style of commercial development to Lincoln. A variety of shopping, dining, and business services will come together in an innovative pedestrian-oriented environment.  With an architectural theme of English country and a focus of Home & Garden, Health and Hearth, the Marketplace at Village Gardens will offer a unique opportunity for Lincoln retailers. With convenient on- and off-street parking, this walkable retail center will provide interesting and accessible places to eat, shop, chat, and conduct business.

Apartments, lofts, and work/live residential options will further enhance the Marketplace and offer new opportunities to Lincoln residents and business owners.

The existing Campbell’s Nursery will anchor the Marketplace, located at 56th and Pine Lake Road, with additional retail and businesses surrounding it to provide for the daily needs of Village Gardens residents.  Infrastructure in the Marketplace was completed in the Summer of 2007 with the paving of all on-street parking stalls.  Construction of businesses began in the Spring of 2008, and in July 2009, Scooter's Coffeehouse opened its doors in the Carriage House.  Since that opening, the Marketplace has become home to several other retail shops & businesses:  Sonata - Artful Living at Home, Heiss Chiropractic & Acupuncture, JMisko Surgical Design MD, Forte Salon, and Marriott  Residence Inn.  We anticipate all the businesses to be opened at the Marketplace within four years.   The Marketplace Site Plan provides a conceptual layout of the Marketplace at Village Gardens.
